As much as I would like to give Ka Freddie Aguilar and his "under-18" lover since it's love month, I still can't help but cringe about the 44-year age gap between them. I'm not trying to be a hypocrite or something. I am just concerned about what will happen to their marriage after 20 years. Where can we possibly find the teen's male lover when that time comes?
Yes, we were not able to stop them from marrying. Their so-called love was so strong for us to hinder them.
Their marriage were somehow comprehensible, provided that they will show their affection by caring for each other. But having a child with his minor aged wife?
In an interview, Aguilar said, “Napag-usapan namin ‘yung pagkakaroon ng baby. Kasi sabi ko, next month 61 na ako,” saying that they are planning to have a baby soon. Good thing about this is that, Aguilar insisted that his wife's studies are still their top priority. She is currently taking up a culinary course which she expects to be of great help the moment she graduates.
“Kung along the way na nag-aaral ka at biglang matsambahan na mabuo, at least, ‘kako, graduate ka na bago ka pagbawalan na lumabas ng bahay.” Focus on the words "matsambahan" and "mabuo" . We are some sort of fooling around in here aren't we? Someone who's probably nearing his terminal age will intentionally produce an offspring as soon as possible before he becomes totally incapable due to being over aged.
To add more cheesiness to the story, Aguilar said: “Hindi ko kaya na wala siya sa tabi ko. Sabi ko nga sa kanya, ‘Bebs, limang araw pa lang akong wala, hirap na hirap na akong matulog.’ Basta mahal ko siya, araw-araw nararamdaman ko.”
Anyway, it's their lives that we are talking about so we have no rights to deprive them from loving each other. I wish them all the great things in the world. More power to both of them. In case you feel gratified with my greetings, feel free to send me an invitation for your "Golden" anniversary in the future. =)))))
